We studiously planned new commutes to avoid the Olympic Route Network (ORN) and the Games Lanes. And then we reached central London and realised our mistake. When the Olympic road rules came into force, Londons cyclists, pedestrians, roller-skaters (and even a few car drivers) braved the streets and found them surprisingly empty the most vacant parts of all being the ORN and the Zil lanes.
